Positivity Inked Within

Every piece of my life is inked upon my skin. You cannot see it because most of it lies within. Hindered love, past mistakes, "What if's," and memorable days. In the course of a month, I finally opened my box and granted myself freedom where I have once denied it to myself. My eyes no longer stare into nothingness, my thoughts, no longer clouded. I am finally free.

God has given us the opportunity to live fully, however, most of us cower at the thought of living abundantly for we feel that holds a gluttonous spirit.

By fearing everything, I lost nothing, but I also gained nothing. I lived a quiet and steady life, where I was never tested. Today, however, I stand before you with a reawakened spirit. A spirit who has taken chances, a spirit who has made it her mission live life and not survive it.

In this process of renovation within me, I have brought out a light that cannot be contained. A vibrancy that is so colorful that mortal eyes can only see the remnant of its shine. By being bright you open up your heart and your spirit to the world that was once unknown. I cannot describe to you the ecstasy of this year. There is an anticipatory sensation that overwhelms me and excites me.
