Seabird (Poem)

Your oceanic eyes interlaced with wonder and ambition.

I stand there by the seabirds song.

Your heartbeat, a melodious tune

Played on repeat.

An old harpsichord

Entrapped by the perils of disillusion.

The standby of my mouth

Fractured words, thoughtless syllables.

Every breath interlaced with you

I want to stop

I want to let it go

But the more I separate you, I separate my soul.

I wait in anticipated glory for the day where my mouth is alive

Where the words drip off my lips without a second glance

You won't sit in silence, no, you would engage.

.

Together we would fly like larks.

The vibrations of our souls echo courageously through the trees

And here I wait for the seabirds plea.
